Ukrainian forces carried out a new strike in Crimea and hit a Be-12 amphibious aircraft used by Russia in operations in the Black Sea.
The target was located near the Kachi region, a strategic area for launching missions against unmanned maritime threats.
According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the assessment of the damage caused to the equipment is still ongoing. This type of aircraft has been used by Moscow as part of its response to the growing use of Ukrainian naval drones in the region.
Be-12 aircraft are adapted for this type of combat and use unguided anti-submarine bombs, such as the PLAB-250-120, launched directly against unmanned vessels. The strategy aims to neutralize drones before they reach strategic Russian targets.
This is not an isolated case. In recent months, Ukraine has already claimed the destruction of other aircraft of the same model, including two units hit in February and two others in September by a special unit. Estimates indicate that the remaining fleet of Russian naval aviation has fewer than 20 operational units of this model.
